Greetings,
Thanks for this information - it looks interesting and I have contacted them about subscribing. My scarab interests lie mainly in the Nearctic fauna, but the exotic taxa are just too cool to ignore!
I haven't read the whole introduction by the editors of Scarabaeus, but I do remember reading many issues of the earlier newsletter 'Scarabs'. It was edited primarily by several scarab workers in the U.S. and it had a nice mix of articles on both domestic and exotic subjects. It is available online at the following link:

Now for the warning! The editors of Scarabs had put a 'pinup' image of ladies they personally knew at the end of a lot of their issues. It was PG-rated stuff at worst, but it caused some conflict with folks that felt it was sexist and inappropriate. I have no strong opinions on whether it was right or wrong, but it ended up causing an unnecessary distraction to all of the fantastic information in the newsletter. Check it out - it's a great read... and the girls aren't even as 'exposed' as the models in the swimsuit section of your weekly Kohl's ad...
Cheers! Bandrow

Looks like G rating to me. But, then I am politically insensitive to spaghetti strap tank tops.
