Good morning, I saw this weird guy a few days ago, thought it was a fly at first but the more I look at it the more i think it looks like a wasp of some sort, body was very small under the wings. Located in Brazil photos.app.goo.gl/YYSgvtEV3APFrLtb8

That is a rather striking insect, definitely not a fly (Diptera) with those long antennae, and I doubt it's a wasp (Hymenoptera). As I live half way round the world from Brazil it certainly isn't familiar. I would also be interested to know what it is, perhaps it is a caddis fly (Trichoptera)?

The antennae look like a cerambycid beetle, but looking at the wings and mouthparts I'd say orthoptera- a small katydid- that emulates a cerambycid.

Adam. www.cirrusimage.com/trichoptera_caddisfly/The first one in the link has a very similar body and wings, so it's most like one of those then, thanks a lot
