Hello all, I am in desperate need of your help. I live in Tucson, Arizona in USA, and over the past few months my house has become infested with these little white worms. They seem to crawl out of my couch mostly, but I have found them in kitchen cabinets as well. They are small (probably about a centimeter in size) sometimes they are paler white in color, other times darker brown. They appear to have legs on the front part, and a brown head, as well as 2 prongs on the butt. I have searched everywhere in multiple forums and online for identifying these, and they look similar to cloth moth larvae, but not quite. I have posted pictures as well as video, and I am so thankful for any help at all. pictures/video of white worm things

Also! I have not seen any adult form of this animal anywhere. I have not seen any moths. I have seen carpet beetle casings, but from what I can tell these don't look similar to the larvae I have seen online. Thank you!

They look like mature beetle grubs, there are other household beetles besides carpet beetles. Flour beetles, drugstore beetles... they are probably looking for a spot to pupate.

Thank you kevinkk, you were right! These ended up being boxwood beetles apparently (per the exterminator). He said they eat the wood located in the couch. Makes sense given that I ended up finding a TON of casings when I ripped off the bottom fabric part of the couch. Thank you again!
