Yes it is a cockroach nymph.
You should be able to buy cockroach bait traps that attract them to eat poisoned bait. That should contain the problem in your house.
To be frank, they are a natural problem which will recur every so often. It wouldn't surprise me if the hotel you are going to sleep in has them too.
In reality cockroaches are unlikely to hurt you, and if you keep food crumbs off the floor or other surfaces you will be much less likely to have cockroaches in the house.
