Are Dynastes hercules or any other Dynastids, protected in any way in any part of their range? Obviously they would be in places where any collecting in prohibited, like Brazil.

I don't think Dynastes hercules is protected but you would need a permit to export from Brazil because it's illegal to export all insects with out a permit.

Currently, Dynastes satanas is protected by being listed under Cites Appendix II since end of March 2010.

Dynastes hercules hercules is protected in French isles of Martinique and Guadeloupe.
