Hello, specimen found in Sydney Australia in a water pit trap. Very small (~1mm) so excuse the photo quality. Closest ID i've found is Xiphydriidae but don't seem to really be present in Australia. The curved abdomen, lack of thin waist and long antennae all together are throwing me. Any help would be great, looking for ID to family.

Looks akin to a fungus gnat. If you start looking around Mycetophilidae in dipteran descriptions you might find the family.
