Here we have a pair of this most unique Pierid species. This is (Neophasia terlooii) or the Chiricahua Pine White. This butterfly is found in New Mexico and in the high mountains of Arizona. From there it range extends south into Mexico. This is a pair which my friend acquired. I don't have any (speaking for myself). Males are the white/black jobs whilst the lovely females are a wonderful shade of orange + black. It must be something to see some flowering bush (in the mountains) just covered in flittering "spots" of white and orange moving about hither and dither...
