Hello, I returned home to my mother's house last night and noticed that one of the pillows on the bed in the guestroom looked slightly discolored. I looked inside the pillow case and saw several small white/gray bugs moving around. No one has slept in that guestroom for 3 months since my last visit. I immediately stripped the entire bed and didn't find any more of the bugs in the other pillow or anywhere else in the bedding or on the mattress. All of the pillows and the mattress were in zippered encasements. When I unzipped the back fabric of the headboard, however, I saw a 3-4 more of the bugs on the wood/cardboard inside the headboard. I've dealt with bed bugs many years ago in a different location and these don't look like bed bugs to me (some else has suggested maybe carpet beetles), but I can't be sure as I'm no expert. I also found a similar-looking bug in a box that my mother stored in the closet. I also checked my mother's bedsheets and pillows (where she sleeps every night) as much as she would allow (couldn't go behind headboard), and didn't see any signs of bed bugs and I didn't find any of the bugs that I found in the guest bedroom. I'm anxious to determine if this is a bed bug issue as it was a nightmare when I dealt with them before. Can you help identify? Thanks in advance! Below are links to a video that I captured of the bugs I found behind the headboard along with a few (unfortunately blurry) pics. I'm not sure, but they look like ants from the still photos.
Adam.

Thanks so much for looking! I'm just hoping that they aren't bedbugs. If I find more, I'll try to get a better pic.

I'm not sure, but they look like ants from the still photos. Adam. I'm not sure either. They don't look like bedbugs, which are smaller and more roundish. I don't think they're ants, from the way they move in the video and their legs aren't visible. I think they're probably too small for roaches. Unless someone is familiar with the shape, it's going to be hard to identify without clearer and closer still pictures. They're not carpet beetles, in any life stage. Maybe just trying to search for common household pests would help you. Could be some kind of book lice, but I'm just guessing, they're probably not silverfish, at least the ones I've seen.

Bumping up in case there are additional comments based on the new pics (in my last post). Thanks in advance! your new pictures are better. I still can't identify them, I am just not that familiar with whatever they are, but someone should be able to name them for you with the better pictures.
