Greetings, It is highly advisable to take the image of a specimen that you want to get identified BEFORE you stomp on it! Despite the atrocious condition, I believe I can see enough parts to be pretty sure that this is an immature cockroach... Cheers! Bandrow

Yeah sorry about the stomping on it first part but I just had to stop it in its tracks!! lol It was moving very fast! I appreciate that feedback as you know that is obviously what i wanted to hear. No bed bugs!! The thing is, i got equipment like a console, tv, pc, etc, from my work for work from home during covid, and they had a bedbug issue pre covid - around feb/march. Since I'm seeing this bug for the first time (with no other in your face signs), I'm a little paranoid that it got taken in with the equipment from work, although the problem "should" have been taken care of at work prior to the equipment loan (around 3 months ago). Anyway thanks again so much! Deeder

Hi Deeder,
If it was running fast, even more evidence that it's a roach. Bringing in electronic equipment from work is a possible way to bring in roaches too - they love getting inside computer processors and printers due to the warmth.
I guess I'm lucky - I moved my whole "lab" home in March and brought a lot of bugs along with it - but they were all intentional!
However, keep your eyes open for more - if that one came home in your equipment 3 months ago, it would be an adult by now, unless an egg capsule was sitting in there and recently hatched. With roaches, if you see one, there are certainly more...
Good luck! Bandrow

But today I saw this floating in my glass of water on the table which the equipment is on. Can you tell what this is? imgur.com/iMftlMIimgur.com/4sajAZaThanks for your help. Deeder
