An obvious example is The Beatles. There is even a band called the Dung Beatles. Before the Beatles there was Buddy Holly & The Crickets. There was also a lesser-known band called The Spiders. I'm sure there are many more that our insect community can think of.

Scorpions, one of the legend, although not insects There is Polish band called Żuki which translates to Beetles.

I'm only listing things I would listen to myself. Don't get a heart attack when checking out Acherontia Styx.
Papa Roach, even tough it sounds like insect related it isn't explicitly.

Way back when the Beatles were the talk of the town, there was also the Crickets and the "Bee" Gees!! Wasn't there a band called the "Crabs" I remember the "Snappers"? I think I need a nap...

There's a metal band called Praying Mantis, I see the cd's on ebay when I search for mantids I think there's also a band called Cocoon, but I might be wrong about that one, might be Moth. Never heard either.
