sorry should have started a different thread for this .
Regarding the smaller blue Memphis species , it's really hard to get good specimens even if sold as A1. I had to buy several of the same species befiore getting decent ones!
One I'd really like to get is Memphis cluvia !

Wow, thanks for the quick pic's of some of those beauties.
Anaea and Memphis are indeed very nice genera which I always liked as well as desired.
You are right about some of the "flagship" Anaea species being very expensive generally. I think around a $100 bucks or better is what most of them fetch in (near) or at A1 condition. Which is why I don't have any of them !
I have a couple of good pictures of specimens which I (could have had) if I had the money at the time. I may not have gotten the specimens but, I have good pic's of them. I will try to post them soon.
Look forward to any other pictures you can find to post and perhaps Adam can make a new thread on this topic separate from the one it is now posted on.
Thank you again for your quick response and nice choices.

I feel quite fortunate to have Anaea andria right in my own backyard - Males of the winter (hibernating) form can be very intensely red, and it's a rather large species, too. It's usually one of the first butterflies I see in the spring.

I really hope that someday, Polygrapha suprema will become a lot more affordable - that one is on my list too. Perhaps someone will start breeding it. At a mere fraction of the price however, Historis odius is a rather similarly coloured Neotropical nymphalid (although it belongs to a different tribe). Among the Anaeini, I think I'd have to say that Polygrapha cyanea is probably my favorite - and it also has a very interesting pattern on the verso -
