Hello, I tried googling what these bugs are but to no avail, I figured I’d try here. I have been finding a ton of these bugs in my house lately (by a ton I mean at least two a day). I don’t have a picture as I’m frankly too afraid to get close enough to get a good one, but I offer the following description: They’re about the same size and build as a wasp but they have these two big back legs like a cricket. They don’t have any visibly wings and I have never seen one fly. They’re all black with this weird whiteish-translucent patch on the very tip of them. They do have some very very thin stripes on them that are reddish in color. They’re about an inch long. Like I said I’ve never seen them fly, they’ve gotten on me and wouldn’t get off of me until I swatted them off. I do live in Pennsylvania and I use a wood stove and firewood if this information helps in the identification process. Please help me identify them and how they may be getting in here. Additional suggestions on how to get rid of them would be greatly appreciated.
