Hello! Hope everyone is having a good day. I live in south Texas and I have been finding these small brown bugs since I moved into an apartment. They have been mostly found in my bedroom, but I have seen them in other parts of the apartment. I thought they were bed bugs but I don't see them in between my sheets or hiding in the seams of my bedsheets. It might also be helpful to add that my bedroom has a carpet and I have seen them reach all the way to the ceiling. Below is a link to a Google drive with pictures. My apology if they're not great. For reference, these bugs are about 0.3 cm long. Any info would be incredibly helpful. Thank you, and I hope you have a great day! drive.google.com/folderview?id=1-1kb1ZfrB3XUZNj-8xnvRo1rCl2v6xsJPlease let me know if the link doesn't work or if there's a better way to do this. Thanks!

They look like carpet beetle but the photos are not focused enough. Try to google carpet beetle and see if this is what you have in your apartment

I originally thought these were carpet beetles as well. A Google search made me think carpet beetles normally have many more legs and feed off actual food, but I rarely find them in my kitchen, much less where I store food. If it helps, I tried to take better pictures and have updated the Google drive. Thanks!

With the new photos I’m certain these are carpet beetles and on one of the photo you can see the legs too, they have three pairs of legs like all the insects. Also you mentioned that you have carpet in your bedroom and larvae of these can feed on actual carpet thus their common name.

I guess the time I was away for the holidays gave them the opportunity to reproduce. Hope you have a great day!
