Hi, I was chasing some help to identify if these are all Australian Butterflies please. I apologise in advance for my ignorance on the topic of Lepidoptera, I have more of a superficial appreciation for the species.
This collection was purchased for me as a young child about 40 years ago. It was bought from an antique store in Western Australia and was already "old/vintage" at the time. It's probably sat under the bed for about the last 10 years with no space really to hang it and a wife with no appreciation for it. haha
Consequently I thought it was probably time to finally move them on but I would really like to try and find out a bit more about it first. Are they all Australian Butterflies (with the exception of what obviously looks like a dragonfly and some other random thing). I'm guessing they might all be Aussie ones given the presence of the Ulysses and what appears to be a Cairns Birdwing. But the other ones I would have no clue in identifying.
They seem to be quite crudely mounted and the glass at one point during the years broke and was replaced. But I'm not sure if it was that process or just extensive sunlight that has taken some of the luster off the colour from the Ulysses and Cairns Birdwing.
Any information would be appreciated. I can take further photos if required, I took these on a slight angle to try and avoid the reflection of the glass.
