I'm no expert, but it definitely looks like a type of assassin bug (Hemiptera).

It's an assassin bug, but not a Kissing bug ( Triatoma spp.). Yes, the bites of many assassin bugs can be quite painful, but fortunately, the effect doesn't tend to last very long for most people. Judging from your photos, yours is probably a juvenile (nymph) of the common Green assassin bug ( Zelus luridus).
