Now, here's a section of the forum which seems little visited... What the hey'-- does nobody like Hymenoptera ? Anyway, this month Natural History magazine has an incredible front "cover" shot of one of my favorite Hymenopteran beasties; Giant Ichneumon wasps of the genus Megarhyssa. Specifically, Megarhyssa macrurus doing their thing drilling away for Horntail larvae they have detected. A really great close-up shot and a nice article inside about those creatures of membranous wings, tireless work, and self contained protective capabilities !
