Good evening everyone, I'm looking for a bit of advice.
I've been exploring the California foothills lately and stumbled upon 3 cocoons of H. euryalus attached to a manzanita shrub. The date being February 13th, I assume they are still in diapause.
I brought them home yesterday and placed them inside the refrigerator at 40*F. (local temperature)
They are currently competing for space in the vegetable drawer, (much to the aversion of my co-inhabitants), so their occupation of the kitchen is limited.
I've read that certain diapauses can be artificially terminated under suitable temperature, light, and moisture parameters.
So I pose the question: Has anyone successfully induced an early eclosure with Hyalophora? And if so, under which parameters?
I'd be grateful to hear about your experiences, so thanks in advance for your input.

Don’t know about euryalus specifically, but for native silkmoths up here in Canada, I don’t do anything special other than keep them at room temperature. They eclose in 1-2 months usually.
