Like the title says, what's the actual name for a meal worm beetle?

Tenebrio molitor for the standard-sized mealworm, Zophobas atratus for the "superworm".

If you mean the common name of Tenebrio molitor, that would be the "Yellow mealworm beetle". Zophobas atratus would be the "Giant mealworm beetle".

I've raised mealworms for feeders, and found they are almost unkillable, even with no care at all. A person could surmise that with care, you could do more, more space, periodic light moisture, a quality food source, like bran flakes, oats and other grains mixed in. You could try- "beetleforum.net" for this topic, I've noticed many people raise Tenebrio and other grain feeding beetles.
