Good evening, found a bright red Caterpillar threading some silk in one of my cacti and a few days later a bright yellow Chrysalis was there inside, i couldn't find this specific one anywhere and today I noticed it had already opened, just really curious about what came out of it  I'm from São Paulo, Brazil photos.app.goo.gl/knZuEmBQxLrzLy3z5 |

I embedded the pic into the forum to make it easier for everyone. With that said i dont know, but to me it seems like a Lycaenidae pupa?  |

Do Lycaenidae spin a silk web around their pupa? I thought they were naked like most other butterflies. Judging from the Cactus it does seem small. Perhaps Malo can tell us approximately how long the pupa was. Adam. |

Do Lycaenidae spin a silk web around their pupa? I thought they were naked like most other butterflies. Adam. Good point, allthough im not familiar with all the different kinds of tropical Lycaenidae and if some can spin a web around their pupa.  |
