I was waiting for this "person" to pop up again, I haven't noticed any likely posts from him, but if it's Eumorpha being offered by someone who doesn't post prices...
On that note- people who post ads without prices are automatically suspect in my opinion. Right now there is a suspect ad for Daphnis and Prosperpinus species.
I know when I post an ad what I want out of my material, I don't need to wait to see what the buyer is interested in, it's my way or no way for the most part, there are variables, sure, maybe for quantity, but posting ads without prices is like fishing.

well, just about staying up to night - even I and several my friends - insects breeders respond to emails in deep night - we go back from work, feed beetles and larvae and after that read and write - emailing is easy job At least in Europe is quite often (I´m writing this at 03:08 local time). But yes, not writing price is strange (usually it´s because of chance to get higher offer from someone). For me, one of the best redflags are mistakes in spelling of species.

Odd seeing this as I know Matt very well from the CT EntSoc and it's surprising to see these interactions. He is a nice guy and I can't explain this behavior except he has major communication problems. One thing I know about Matt in the last few years is that he is very poor with emails, and I can only contact him through text or social media. He is very passionate about the moths (I have seen his bins of larvae) but he is quite immature. I would hope someone now in their early 20's would take this seriously but word spreads fast in this small community. I don't think it is a good business or career choice to want to be an entomologist and ripping people off. With how much kids are on their phones nowadays you'd think communication would be instant. And if larvae or pupae die, all you have to do is communicate with the buyer and apologize/refund. I'm sure we all get it and it doesn't burn the bridge.
Maybe he lacks direction and is immature, but I really hope he isn't intentionally scamming people. It's easy to interpret lack of communication as going both ways, causing the problem or a result of the problem. The former means he shouldn't deal livestock, and the latter is deliberate scamming

Well, I agree that Mr. Nochisaki should not be selling livestock. I tried everything possible and gave him numerous chances, he claimed more than once he'd sent my material- I can only see that one way, as being dishonest. He'll find out possibly the hard way, that the private sector is not for the timid, or the irresponsible. He came off at the beginning as being "nice", until it's down to brass tacks. I couldn't lie to people like that, for one thing, eventually they figure it out, and then you get banned from platforms, or end up in a thread like this, which will be here for a very long time. I have no sympathy for him at all, I've run a business and know what it takes to get a good reputation, it takes ethics and work, something decidedly lacking in far too many "young" people, which is a copout excuse, if you put yourself in a place, and can't follow through, the world will chew you up and spit you out.
