Hey, fellow beetle enthusiasts I have had this unusual looking item in my collection for years. Undetermined to even family -- much less genus or species. It hails from Colorado. Any suggestions are welcomed !

I have to say that I would never of imagined that fellow being a Cerambycid (type) of beetle.

True, it is a rather unusual looking species among the Cerambycidae. There are many members of its subfamily (Lepturinae) in my area, the largest being Stenelytrana gigas. Here's another strange longhorn, Prionocalus cacicus (subfamily Prioninae) (Peru) -
