Found two of these on the bed a few weeks back and went into full bed bug panic mode but never found any bites or any signs of bed bug activity on or around the bed or in any of the traps after that. Instead, they seem to be concentrated around a window in the room (found one or two every so often on the windowsill and on the walls) so started thinking that perhaps they could be a related bug instead? There is a swallow nest outside the window that's been there for years with bird activity every year so am suspecting swallow bugs.
Note that bugs are on the small side (4mm and less) and it seems like the third and fourth antennae segments are the same length, which is what I've read is characteristic of swallow bugs.

I learn new things here all the time. I had to look up "swallow bugs" which conjured up all sorts of possibilities...
I think you're correct, they're bird parasites. Better than bed bugs, I suppose.
Great job with the pictures.

Swallow nests are often loaded with mites. After the fledglings leave the mites scatter looking for new hosts
