Hi All,
I hope you're all doing ok during these times.
Last year I noticed what looks like through research - carpet beetles coming in my windows during the sprint and through the summer. I would steam mop the curtains, the windows, wash the curtains etc put sticky traps down which caught many but they kept coming back. I sprayed peppermint oil mixed with water as read they don't like the scent which may have helped but still they kept appearing. Could they be attracted to my curtains?
When it got colder they appear to die off and eventually disappeared but today as I work from home, I've noticed one on the curtain. I obviously don't want a repeat of last year, so want to nip this in the bud. I am also noticing small flies appearing by the window as well this year. They are agile small flies (not like fruit flies). Can anyone recommend anything I can do? I was going to get a diffuser with essential oils to put by the window, would this help? I don't keep food out and try and maintain a clean studio. I will try and upload a couple of photos as i managed to catch some earlier.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, MrOrange1
