Found a bug on me today, I do not think it bit but I know kissing bugs have painless bites. It looks like a kissing bug to me, either that or a western conifer seed bug fly, or a masked hunter bug. Location: North Carolina I know how dangerous kissing bugs are so I instinctively hit it with my tennis racquet, sorry for the image quality as it was not fully intact. Any insight/opinions would be much appreciated. Imgur Link: Bug Images

Imgur Link: Bug ImagesDefinitely not a kissing bug - it's a Common Leaf-footed Bug (Acanthocephala terminalis) - bugguide.net/node/view/16391Incidentally, kissing bugs only bite people at night, and the several species that we have here in the US have not (to my knowledge) been shown to transmit disease to humans to any measurable extent.
