100% H.cecropia , I had 50 of these overwintering in my fridge.

None of the above replies mentioned that it is actually a cocoon, not an egg sac. The adult moth should hatch from it soon, if it hasn't already. Someone relatively local will be able to telll you approximately when that should happen.

Yes, it is a moth cocoon as Adam added and they are emerging about now, two females emerged today from my cocoons.
