Hello I wonder if anyone can help, please? I have found these small white bugs seemingly living inside crevices on a bench. The bench is teak, but made from old reclaimed wood. They move quite fast, perhaps the speed of an ant. They seem quite skitterish and seek dark spaces after being disturbed. They look to me like booklice. I would really appreciate some advice, so I can rule out a wood eating beetle of some sort! They do not appear to match with any wood eating beetle so far as I can make out. imgur.com/gallery/92cDsaEMany thanks! Tristam I should add - the bench is inside SECOND UPDATE - I have provided a compare of a booklice with the white bugs present on the bench; they look very similar to me, with a very distinctive oval abdomen imgur.com/gallery/uNDtZuhThank you!
