Hey, Yesterday, when I had just mowed the grass, I saw that a strange insect had entered my house. It was super warm and bright day, and I saw what looked like a cockroach running around my patio door very quickly. I immediately took a picture of it and now I'm panicking that there is a cockroach nest. Yesterday I stayed up until 4 in the morning to see if there are still critters around, but have not seen anything else. I live in Belgium for anyone who needs this information. i.imgur.com/dqjq3os.jpg

looks a lot like a cockroach. I don't know about a nest, they also live outdoors as well as indoors. If you're worried, I'd get some sticky traps and some sleep.

It's definitely a roach, but it doesn't appear to be of a species that infests homes. This looks like an outdoor variety that won't become a pest. Out of the world's 4,600 roach species there are actually only around 30 that become household pests, and only a small number of those 30 are very widespread, perhaps the most well-known being Blattella germanica.

Absolutely, I've caught roaches out in the woods before, a little bit of a surprise, because we associate them with houses, but they're out there.

I have also seen one outside. Any suggestions to get rid of them? I have a suspicion they are under my porch. It’s been a nightmare . Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

If I were you I wouldn't worry about them if they are outside. They will come and go, and there is no real way to get rid of them.
