I couldn't open the second link as it seems to be restricted, but the first photo looks like a type of beetle, I would guess perhaps family Brentidae but I am not a beetle expert. Hopefully someone familiar with UK beetles can help.

Thank you, do you know why I’d be finding quite a few of them in my bedroom? I don’t have any plants in the room. |

Many insects wander indoors for various reasons - they might just be seeking cooler (or warmer) temperatures, or moisture. Sometimes, they will fly in if you have lights at your exterior doors that attract them. |
