Another one from Marquette Michigan, collected by an entomology student. Could be Anoplodera vittata. I remember seeing many of these myself so they were fairly common.

Yes,you're right. I also think that is Anoplodera(=Leptura) vittata.

Wrong. It's Strangaleptura abbreviata(Germar). Anoplodera vittata is a synonym. the genus Anoplodera doesn't exist any more. Jeff Prill

Greetings, The genus Anoplodera is valid and contains about 23 species in the Old World and one in the Nearctic region. Anoplodera pubera was previously in the genus Strangalepta and most recently Anoploderomorpha. Another good website for checking nomenclature is www.biolib.cz - check it out. Cheers! Bandrow
