Hellohullohallo! I'm usually pretty capable when it comes to researching and identifying strange bugs, but this one has me slightly stumped.
I found them on a milkweed plant in my backyard. I'm in Holland, Michigan!
Very tiny. I have them safe and sound in a lil enclosure at the moment, so I can still grab some accurate measurements if need be.
I'm concerned that the little guy wasn't on the right plant. If they don't eat the milkweed I provided in said caterpillar safehouse, I'll try out other leaves and see what they decide to munch on.
I'll also check later today for any siblings!
