It appears to be Aradidae, indeed. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. This one is about to enter its pupal stage as it buried itself into the sand recently and abandoned its sand trap. Did you mist the habitat at all? I don't want the insect to die before reaching adulthood.

The first is this guy. I found multiples of these near a clean stream in upstate New York over about 2 weeks. I have found stonefly adults near this stream in previous years if that helps narrow it down. I thought that this was a stonefly at first, but the ones I found before were about 5 times larger at least. Also, these guys that I found this time don't have cerci. This picture shows its wings. The bottom pair are folded in at the bottom and have a larger, more rounded lobe. Its abdomen is segmented and sticks out about 3/4 cm past the thorax. It is hidden in the picture. The second is this insect. Looks like a Hemipteran, possible Tingidae, but I have yet to find one of those around this area in upstate NY. It has been living in a vial for a week now and has not died yet, so I am hesitant to pin it until it kicks the bucket, making IDing difficult. Tingidae?

I just captured an antlion larva from my garden. How difficult would it be to raise this little guy to adulthood?

ASSuming you are in USA, BioQuip is about the only game in town, considering the array and quality of their supplies. Even a big name like them can have security issues regarding credit cards. Approx 18 months ago I got a letter from them stating their databases had been hacked and information regarding personal info of customers including credit card info had been stolen. For all the items in your list but the pins you can make your own completely functional alternatives for MUCH less money. You're on leave until SPRING? I need to sign up for that program... how does that happen? I've been on leave for 2 years this December. I can go back whenever I want after I've completed the requirements of the leave. I wanted to get some more basic science courses out of the way before going back full time.

Has anyone ordered from www.sciencelabsupplies.com/ ? Are they reputable? I'm on leave from my university until this spring and I'm in need of more pins, more specimen boxes, some pinning forceps, and another pinning/spreading board. I've found this site that sells everything but I'm always cautious about who my credit card info goes to. If not, where can I buy entomology supplies online? Any help appreciated.
