To imagine that you have 11 more drawers of African lycaenid material; absolutely incredible.... That's the 11 Drawers of Southern African Lycaenidae. I first started collecting in West Africa...... Then Australia... :-)

In Arizona H. chrysalus is really hard to collect. Usually you can see them up at the top of the Gambel’s oaks attacking each other and other butterflies, but rarely do they come down low enough to net. Not sure that I entirely agree. There are plenty of bushy/shrubby live oaks up on top of Mt. Lemmon that you can bang with your net pole and they'll fly out (or they'll just be out if it's afternoon). Of course most of these mountains badly burned.
