Specimens 1,3,4,and 8 are Lamiinae. 2 is Cerambycinae. 5,6, and 7 are Prioninae=Macrotominae. Prioninae is still a subfamily, it's not a family. I'm working on the identifications. I'll have them in a couple of days. Jeff Prill

No 1 : Ancylonotus tribulus ,females (they look like of var.hieroglyphicus). No 2 : Philematium virens sansibaricum . No 3 : Analeptes trifasciata ,male . No 4 : Ceroplesis militaris militaris ,male (looks like of var.heroica). No 8 : Phryneta spinator .
Now,for the Macrotoma from Togo,I think that they are all M.palmata. Specifically: No 5 : M.palmata female . No 6 : M.palmata female(first specimen) and male(second one) . and No 7 : a small male of M.palmata .

That's why I said it might take me a day or two, I have to check Villier's paper on African Macrotoma. Jeff Prill

there are 4 sp of Macrotoma in this part of Africa :
palmata, serripes, gracilipes and mourgliai. it is surely not mourgliai and gracilipes. Betweeen serripes and palmata the most visible characters are the tarsi lenght and shape, promotal spines and spines on legs.
other macrotomini from Occidental Africa (Prionotoma, Anomotoma and Crossocnemis), doesn't have a a such disco-dorsal shiny pronotum.

Yes,I was only between palmata and serripes, and examining mainly the above characters that you mentioned. These specimens all seem to me more close to palmata than serripes -they are very similar species though. In references, most Macrotoma specimens from Togo are palmata.
