I'm about a year late reading this thread but,I have some questions perhaps someone could a answer. I recall back in the 70's the Guiness book of world records saying that a single male of Allottei in 1966 sold at auction in Paris for many thousands of pounds. I don't know how much that would have been in U.S. dollars however, I am curious what that price would have been then or how much now? Also, if this hybrid is now being bred would "wild-caught" examples be worth more or would they be more (meaningful) to Lepi collectors at large. Does anyone really know how many "natural" examples of this incomparable hybrid exist? It's all just idle curiosity....
