Cheirotonus jansoni male 78mm from Guangdong China. Euchiridae has alway been one of my favorite Asian beetle family, especialy when they're alive. I remember I was feeding them lychee and they would hold the lychee with their arms and lick them, just like us. Attachments:

I personially found the yellow in Cheirotonus is the hardest to keep within all Coleoptera. I caught this pair Cheirotonus fujiokai from Guangdong China myself and with my best effort to keep the yellow, it's still not a yellow like when they were alive. Dose anyone has any experience with keeping the yellow with the Cheirotonus? I've tried acetone, it dosen't work. Attachments:

I know the problem with the yellow from Odontolabis. When they are alive their colors are much brighter and have something like a texture. But when they dry they become darker an the texture is lost. Unfortunately I don't know how to prevent this
