Thank you for compliment, Peter. I really like this specimen, there is another form that is even nicer. Jens, I got it from Christoph Zoeller, Germany. John

Hi fellow collectors After seeing the awesome procus specimen, I think this would be a good place for other collectors to show their favourite Ornithoptera specimen. I would like to see them and I am sure everybody else would like to see them too. Peter.

Hannes Beautiful specimens. Very well spread. Yes I love the golden sheen on your borchi male. Where is it from. Your aeacus male is unusual. Peter. PS. I love the chimaera form.

Thank you Peter. The borchi male was sold to me as paradisea paradisea (what it really does not look like) and is labelled with Finisterre Mts., Madang Prv., Sep. 2006.

Here is the female, which I got together with the paradisea male. Same data. I think both specimens must be borchi. Hannes Attachments:

Hi Hannes
Nice female. I am no expert but I would be inclined to believe your data for the borchi specimens. There may be some overlap between the two populations.

Yes, they populations do overlap. Or they have in the past, I have heard rumours that the nominate is extinct. I also think the data could be correct. Yesterday I have forgotten two of my favourites, a pair of tithonus cytherea which did cost me some years of patience to get it. Hannes Attachments:
