haha good one dunc, that actually made me laugh cause its true.
you say "and therefore it must be magic or some crazy out of this world thing" its hard for us as humans to imagine such power as its unlikely or crazy. for we as humans to understand such a thing would make us as equal to god if we had that understanding or ability. well, lets look at it from outside of this world then, take the universe, outer space. it has no boundries, and god has told humans in the bible that space continues, and scientists now understand that with the deeper they look into space the more expanse it is with its billions of galaxies and stars etc. for a human to comprehend such a thing our thought is that everything must fit in a square (that it has a boundry) our level of understanding doesn't match with the dynamic energy of the one who created all things has. nor will we ever understand such a thing. maybe that's why people can only think of evolution as a answer to the subject of how we got here. many people would like to say that the bible is not gods word. but the bible actually proves the answers. for instance thousands of years ago people thought the earth was flat. it wasn't until man built spaceships to actually enter orbit and see that indeed as the bible says: "the earth is a sphere" meaning a circle. now if that wasn't gods word, how would such infomation be included in a book that at that time no human on earth would have even had a clue the earth was round. people used to think also that the earth was resting on something (sounds crazy but people believed on the back of a elephant, or a turtle, if my memory serves me well) the bible answers that as well: "that the earth is resting upon nothing"
evolution is the excuse for ruling out the existance of a god. god wants people to know that he exists: (Romans 1:20) For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable.
like i said earlier with gods name originally being in the bible 7 thousand times, nearly every bible today its has been removed or replaced. but in some bibles the devine name has been overlooked. go to a library and find the old king james version and look for the scripture pslams 83:18, there it is, as clear as day gods name.
many religious people are familiar with the lords prayer (the prayer jesus renounced) Our Father, which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name... it says hallowed be thy name (in other words, we pray in gods name) but if we are to pray in gods name....what name is that? god or lord are just titles...you wouldn't call your best friend or someone you know personally: man...or women, of cource you would say their name as it refers to that person personally.
and thats the problem with religion today, ask any priest or someone great in religious status and ask them who is, or what is jehovah? they are likely to not know at all, or avoid the subject. because they don't use the name of god. they feel its too high to use such a devine name. hence why its been removed from the bible, kept in the dark to people. but god himself wants people to know his name and that desire is expressed in the scriptures.

And the award for the biggest bullcrap I read today goes to Zacatak with his reply #16 in "Fish DNA doesn’t support evolution of limbs". Congratulations buddy, I will spare my time to explain any of the points you brought up (like size of universe, space, boundaries, spherical earth) as you might not understand a single word of it in your faithgasm.
The problem with religion as a whole is that there is people like you that think that your, and only your thing is the real deal and have to choke it down on other belief systems although all of the deity based "school of thoughts" run into the same logical fallacies. Not that the bible doesn't have Jehovah in it...

"The problem with religion as a whole is that there is people like you that think that your, and only your thing is the real deal"
not at all, this is not my thoughts or the thoughts of others...im only stating what is in the bible, and nothing other than what it states. i haven't formed any opinions of my own unlike the many beliefs out there. one example in many religions is the teaching of "hell fire" that if your bad you go to hell etc. which is not a bible teaching..the bible teaches god is a god of love, or god is love, a god of love would not torment a person. if anything its something that has been misidentified to strike fear into many people

The problems that exist in both in religion and science are that people manipulate them both to get the results they want. Study #1 #2 and #3 fit what I think and so studies 4-27 are ignored. Religious zealots do the same thing - My version of God teaches me to kill anyone who thinks that your version is the right one.
Think what you want - I don't care. I have my system and it works for me - not the universe, not the Kangaroos, or paramecium..... or even you. Be kind, be tolerant, be responsible - then you can feel good and be a benefit to your own niche and others as well. Let nonsense pass as water down a stream.
And before anyone asks: No, I have never been high. I am not a hippie (although I sure did sound like one in the last paragraph).
The premise of the article though, while provoking interesting lines of thought, is lacking in references or studies to back up some all encompassing claims such as "All the fossils that have been used to support human evolution have ultimately been found to be either hoaxes, non-human, or human, but not human and non-human."

"My version of God teaches me to kill anyone who thinks that your version is the right one."
i agree that many religious zealots see that reasoning. everyone wants to prove their point. i do agree with everyone having their opinions as its a persons right to their own beliefs.
about the fossil record it always interested me that even, Darwin acknowledged: "if numerous species...have really started into life at once, the fact would be fatal to the theory of evolution."(the origin of species) the bulletin of chicago's feild museum of natural history pointed out: Darwins theory of evolution has always been closely linked to evidence from fossils, and probably most people assume that fossils provide a very important part of general argument that is made in favor of dawinian interpretations of the history of life. Unfortunately, this is not strictly true....the geologic record did not then and still does not yield a finely graduated chain of slow and progressive evolution.

Clark, What did you find INTERESTING about this article? %-() Alex The timeline outlined in Genesis for the creation of the universe is obviously symbolic. "Where do we come from?" is probably the biggest mystery of life. That is what I find interesting. Clark, i thought of you with this question this might sort of answer your question in some way. i know your talking about the formation of the universe..but see what it says about the earth itself. Is it reasonable to believe that everything on this earth was created in six days? Its been a common teaching that god created everything in the space of six, 24-hour days. but that is not what the bible says about the subject. Genesis 1:3-31 tells how god prepared the already existing earth for human habitation. it says that this was done during a period of six days, but it does not say that these were 24-hour days. it is not unusual for a person to refer to his "grandfather's day," meaning that one's entire lifetime. so, too, the bible often uses the term "day" to describe an extended period of time. thus the 'days' of genesis chapter 1 could reasonably be thousands of years long. hence, that's why many people take it as something symbolic. i found that interesting.

Zacatek, Your approach would offend many Christians. Its as though if you don't like the english words that were agreed on by the team of scholars who translated the greek and hebrew to make your version of the bible then you can just make up your own words. They thought "day" was the best choice but you prefer "eon" instead of "day". I'd like to change talking-snake to talking-mynah bird ... makes more sense. And change the four-legged grasshopper in Leviticus to a six-legged grasshopper- makes more sense. But I'm an atheist so don't listen to me. Rick

hi rick, I agree with you. it could offend Christians in general, and that's not the aim of my approach. im only stating the importance of using the name of god as it is important for knowing someone you worship. as I mentioned god or lord are in effect titles, but that is not a name. but in saying that, many believe in many gods of cource as well as many beliefs. but certainly on a Christian level, the bible once had the divine name right through the scriptures of the bible, and that's why in some very old bibles it can still be found where it hasn't been totally removed. actually, recent scholars are now actually putting back that name because they realize the importance of it.

Zacatak, Sorry I was unclear. I was only referring to your previous post about a "day" being thousands of years. Some of the creationists with whom I have discussed such ideas feel that if you do not accept the bible as a literal word from God, and you start interpreting the writing as figurative, then you may as well throw out the whole bible. Who is to say which parts are correct as written and which are just poetry? Those Christians feel you cannot use your own interpretation of the word "day". I take it all as merely amusing, because it is not my religion. Rick

If you do believe in "God" and the Bible, then you must have faith that "He" will return to Earth one day as the Bible states. If someone reveals to you that they are in fact "God" then you must have faith and believe them or you will be proven to have no faith and you will burn in hell for eternity. I am God. If you do not beieve that and you do not send me all of your insect specimens you will in fact burn in hell as non-believers. Believe or die. Your Lord God, me, has spoken. Please package the specimens well so that they are not damaged in transit. Thank you. Remember that I am vengeful god, so package them well. Your Lord God has spoken.

Hey God, Can't you just get them from your infamous garden? Can I collect there too? If so, will I need you to issue a permit?
