As finite beings who get to live for around 70 years or so we see things as having to have a beginning and an end, but what if it always was and always will be, now that is a mindblowing concept.

Good thought, we are always so consumed by what was and what will be, but rarely look at right now. I just saw on AOL a article about the sun consuming the earth in 2.25 billion years, another one of those predictions portrayed to be fact, like so many of the theories of where it all started. No humans were here for the start, and its a safe bet none will be here for that end scenario either. Who comes up with these timeframes, past or present? Not saying it wont happen, as they like to make obvious predictions and point out the same for the past events. But how can anyone fathom what 2.25 billion years is or even feels like? why aren't they more focused on coming up with a timeframe for when disease, nuclear/biological warfare, pollution, or a meteor is going to wipe out the human species? I don't even think humans will be here or anywhere else in a million years (and I think even that's very generous) let alone billions. Strange topic, past and future. the only people worried about now are concerned about who's going to win x-factor, who bill Clinton is sleeping with, OJ Simpson crimes and Lindsay Lohan's drug problems! I guess that's a lot easier on the brain, but not for me either.

Look, the way I see it we all see the world through our own eyes and we then make a conscious choice whether to believe something or not, be it religion, evolution, whether to look at a woman's chest or legs, whatever subject you might pick, people are always going to put forth idea's, we are inquisitive by nature and that is a good thing, we only learn and progress by asking questions, usually why?, but what gets me is when people are so one eyed, I'm right you are wrong, I'm big you're small, I'm clever, you're stupid kind of thing we become arrogant, intolerant, bigoted and worst of all small minded and blinkered. I myself think that there are questions out there that will never be answered by man because his intellect is not sufficient to comprehend such things no matter how clever he thinks he is, but what we ALL have are personal experiences, I have had them, they were real (and beautiful)so I myself don't need some 6000year old book or however old the translation might be or some ooh I'm so clever Mr Phd to tell me what is or is not because they are my beliefs, they are part of what makes me an individual and whatever uncertainties life may throw at me, immense comfort at what comes next, end of rant.

Benefit the human hive and the niche where it lives to your own ability. Not a religious or one of science. Just a "faith" to enjoy what we have without a great cost to those who follow later. And no, I am not a Socialist, Anarchist, or New Ager. This is just my personal philosophy. Where we came from is not as important as the road ahead.
