Bob,yes I remember your specimen and,although repaired with colour,with flight wear and some chips,congrats for having it,as the green female werneri is one of the rarest butterflies in the world..!!

What is the cheapest price you could get a female werneri for? Doesnt have to be A1. Does anybody see the day when they become more affordable, they rarely become available through the usual dealers.

Well, there's some dealers that get "a few" males in A1 condition sometimes (Ken Thorne,Insect Designs)
This at least means they know where to find ex-pupae specimens. Also stuff from Ecuador seems more frequent nowadays
It doesn't seem to be the case with Prepona garleppiana

I have a male Lord P, it has a very slight nick in the right forewing and it is VERY slight otherwise mint, it cost me £90!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Green female P.werneri is awesome. Green+Orange is also a very are color combination on a butterfly
