Nice addition Thanos.
So that is what a female looks like....I think my boy will have to wait and wait and wait, for she is surely a rare and pricey bug.

I'd be happy with a male only
I suspect price will go down on this one.

Thank you Bill and John. John,I can imagine the price if in perfect quality and if the green one(?)..!You'll have to post a photo here when you'll get it ! This one is slightly A1-(has minor chip on the apex of the right forewing) but all the rest is perfect,as well it's colour, and is very fresh. So,personally have no problem with such minor defects especially on so rare insects. The price was very high for me(1400 euros) but a quite good one for this specimen,so couldn't leave it.I paid already the 2/3 of the amount, and will pay the rest 1/3 this week. She was one of my most wanted leps and am very happy with getting her. I have to say that lordpandarus said it quite well.... "I'd be happy with a male only". I have a male and am blessed to have it. I may never get a girl and should be, and am, content with my male. While I wouldn't turn a female down(with a reasonable/affordable price), I am fortunate to have this male. Sometimes I (admittedly)get too focused on what I don't have and should stop and 'smell the roses' and appreciate the vastness of what is in my collection. Thanks lordpandarus......you jarred my bonehead and caused me to reflect some Attachments:

I too only have a male, it has a very small chip in the right hand forewing, apart from that its flawless but for what I paid for it I consider it a steal, a very special butterfly.

Bill, already the male of werneri is a very rare and beautiful butterfly and, when in good quality, still quite expensive and not easy to get at all.And your male is in fine quality . You have managed to get 2 very special butterflies(Morpho cypris f.cyanites female,Prepona garleppiana male) that I miss, are among my life dreams to get,and as I see, will be difficult for me to get,as they are pricey, and as already I have spent a lot of money on specimens like the female C.fournierae, the female P.werneri etc..So,quite a long time will pass until I will be able to spend again such amounts and also such butterflies are rarely available,so when you have a good offer, you must have the money, otherwise you loose them and then wait again... Thanos,
"and also such butterflies are rarely available,so when you have a good offer, you must have the money, otherwise you loose them and then wait again..."
How right you are. As is often said, "good things are worth waiting for".

Here's my green female. I put this on the old forum at Thanos's request but thought I'd repost it here. It's not perfect but it's plenty good enough for me, and I couldn't afford the mortgage for a perfect one. Bob Attachments:

Yes-------she is a Gem to have and the condition is fine.
I have to say that having this butterfly in less-than-A1 would be a thrill. She is a treasure no matter her flight wear. I am glad to see many collectors with/having such a specimen and cherishing it even though it is not A1.

better then my female Bob. Bill I have 3 teinopalpus aureus females in my collection which are A2, although not as expensive as a werneri female they are still expensive when A1 but I feel lucky to have them, I too spend far too much time focusing on what I dont have and should enjoy more that which I do have.
