on the female P. weymeri! That is, IMHO, one of the world's most beautiful Swallowtails & I (& many others, I'm sure!) would really love to still acquire it... ever since I 1st saw it in Smart's book 3 decades ago!! Thanks for posting. John K.

I count myself lucky that I found a reasonably priced pair! Simon

Nice pair Rich.
I think your female looks fresher than mine, but I am glad I got 'em when I did.

I only have a male too! Same as the others, I lusted after a female after seeing the one in Smarts book but have never found one I could afford. In fact I can only recall ever seeing about 3 for sale! Dave

Nice material Rich!
I really like this group. Papilio aegeus is esp. nice, with all the ssp., and each of them having so many female forms, sort of like the African papilio dardanus.

Thanks all for comments, Dunc this will really wind you up (and probably all the others) i ordered this pair with a very large order of Ornithoptera from I.F.T.A they sent me the invoice with them on, but before i had chance to pay it they contacted me to say they had an issue with the male and would not sell them, so i paid the invoice, minus the pair and imagine my disbelief when the parcel arrived with these as a Free Gift (un-doubtably the best free gift i've ever had).
Anyone wishing to post abuse please form an orderly queue... lol

how do you get hold of a female, I only have a male. Hi Dunc, I guess its the same with any collection - being in the right place at the right time. I saw them on a dealers list and had the funds available so pounced on them. I'm sure you'll get a female...they are out there! Simon

Hi Dunc, LOL - I know the feeling! I've just "reserved" some Ornithoptera that are going to financially wipe me out for a while...but, they are worth it ;D Simon
