Looking at plate 34 of Kononenko (2013) Moths of Thailand vol. 3 part 2 it may be C. cygnus judging from the presence of black submarginal dots on the forewings and not on the hindwings, but I am no expert on these and this character could be variable. Adam. Thanks Adam for always being helpful. I don’t have access to this book unfortunately. Are there in Thailand any other Chasmina species? I found one from Malaysia Chasmina candida but forelegs are orange with black spots not white with black spots like mine. There are 8 species listed in the book, all figured in the plate (provinces recorded in the book in ( )): Chasmina tibialis (Chiang Mai, Lampang, Nakorn Rachasima); Chasmina cygnus (Chiang Mai, Lampang, Nan, Nakorn Rachasima); Chasmina fasciculosa (Chiang Mai, Lampang); Chasmina rejecta (Chiang Mai, Lampang, Nakorn Rachasima); Chasmina gracilipalpis (Nakorn Rachasima); Chasmina judicata (Chiang Mai, Lampang, Nan); Chasmina tenuilinea (Lampang); Chasmina candida (Chiang Mai, Nan, Kanchanaburi. I expect that at least some of these are present in peninsular Thailand too, as most have a wide distribution in SE Asia and beyond. Adam.

Hi Paul,
That's a cool collection, I have a serious question, Can I borrow one of your Sundwarda dohertyi for my phylogenetic analysis, I'm working at the McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity and thata genus is the only one that I need to complete my phylogenetic tree.

Hi Paul, That's a cool collection, I have a serious question, Can I borrow one of your Sundwarda dohertyi for my phylogenetic analysis, I'm working at the McGuire Center for Lepidoptera and Biodiversity and thata genus is the only one that I need to complete my phylogenetic tree. I only have two specimens so I kind of hesitate to take risk of damage them. I could offer you detailed pictures of upper and underside and legs for DNA analysis. Let me know if that would help. Cheers Paul

Wow! I gladly accept your suggestion, I will really appreciate it for sure and I will properly acknowledge you in every paper where this specimen appears. Thank you for real you don't even know how important is this for my research project. You can send me the pics by email to joemartinez@ufl.edu and I'll give you all my info where you can ship the legs to me. Thank you again.
