I'm very surprised about the variability about the females of Papilio torquatus ! Here are two females from French Guyana , the left one from Kaw and the right one from Apatou , and my surprise is about the patch on forewings : -for the left specimen : patch washed out at edge and only S2 -for the right specimen : patch with well-defined edge and on S2-S3-S4 and the cell On the site ""butterfliesofamerica.com"" the aberration modestus is given to a specimen like my left one ; can i for mine ? Thank you for your answer

it seems to me that for once the text explains clearly that entomologist are not a threat to any insect species but the destruction of the habitat yes ! More : "the Brazilian legislation should focus on the main threaths of biodiversity " I find this note , for once , in the favor for the entomology ... interesting

I have a problem with this species ! In fact at first , i thought it was an Ithominae like Oleria ... Then i thought it could be an Dismorphia like theucharita ... Now i don't know because nothing seems right Is some one can help me for this lepidoptera from SaĆ¼l (French Guyana ) in October Thank you

I found this two specimen in an old box i bought The identification is Acraea sp. Cameroun I have some doubt about this because i don't find anything on the net Is someone can give me orientation ? mimetic Acraea ? Thank you

Yes , Parides panthonus panthonus don't occure in this part of Guyane and the patch on the upperside of the hindwing are shorters I do photo of the underside and post it tomorrow
