Why don’t the boys continue with the operation? Maybe the heydays are over and the junk on Amazon is killing them ?
Next best place for envelopes? Pins?
I didn’t think I needed to buy anything and just had a panic attack that there is one item only available from BQ that’s a critical asset. Gotta run!

Terrible news.
I've been doing business with them for decades. Most of my equipment is from there as I've always tried to support small businesses.
I know there are alternatives to drawers, pins, nets, etc.
What alternatives are there for items such as Cornell unit trays? My entire collection is based on the Cornell system.

Thank you Paul and Bill for those references on insect drawers ! I will certainly have to look into them. Appreciate the high regards that you have from these other drawer makers. I'd like to add that Jean Paquet is producing American standard sizes of drawers where European once are slightly of different sizes.

I always order pins from this place, so far quality is better than BQ or Paradox. www.entosphinx.cz/en/

FYI, I cannot log into Bioquip or even put stuff in a cart, it blocks me because it thinks I'm spam. Despite having an account. Not sure the cause of this or if it might impact others.

Chuck I just logged there, maybe it's something wrong on your end, they should be open soon, and you could always call. I'm sure they're pretty busy right now, I placed an order a couple days ago just to have extras for the future.

Answer to my inquiry via E-mail from Mgr at BioQuip Bugs,
'they are overwhelmed with customer inquiries at present. No decisions have been formally made as to what will happen to inventory that is still in the building after March 11, but he is working on a game plan as to where he will end up next as well.'

'they are overwhelmed with customer inquiries at present. No decisions have been formally made as to what will happen to inventory that is still in the building after March 11, but he is working on a game plan as to where he will end up next as well.' I would have supposed they're buried now. Besides the emotion of closing your business, there's always a cruel irony about going out of business, isn't there? Here in my little tourist city, I've been to many "going out of business" sales, and each time would think about the irony of the traffic as the bargain hunters circle. For Bioquip, it's a little different, I am not seeing the need for 50% off.

Frustratingly instead of a going out of business sale, they have jacked up prices 25%. I was going to put an order in...

Sad but predictable news... Bioquip has never entered the 21st century. There is a HUGE business to do with entomological supply worldwide. They just needed to be active on social networks, entomological forums and selling on Amazon as Restcloud is doing.
If I were American I would try to buy Bioquip and make it something huge.
For our American friends, there are plenty of suppliers in Europe or Canada, but there is now a huge gap in the USA. Hope someone smart will soon fill this gap.
