Several dealers can offer meeki right now. The price is about the half compared when these species started to appear into the market not many years ago. In that moment a price for A1 pair was around 2000 euros. Now you can get a good pair for 900 or so (maybe a little less).

I think that may be panthonus. Where is it from?
Adam.

The rarest of all the Brazilian papilionidae, not a great specimen but now only known from 1 remaining colony at Barro De Sao Joao on the east coast of Rio De Janeiro Brazil, the site of the only known colony was in the early 1980's undergoing development as a recreational area, I don't know what the current status of this last shrinking colony is but it must be teetering on the edge of extinction now.

yes Adam , it is panthonus and yes papalidar it is barbotini He comes from Trois-Saut(french guyana)on Oyapock , i'm very happy to have this one I thought so, and also guessed it might be barbotini due to the distinctive red hindwing patches, but didn't want to stick my neck out that far without knowing the data. Can you possibly also post a photo of the underside of this super specimen, please. I would very much like to see that too. Adam.
