Was it the log cabin pancake house? Could have just been the waitress.

With respect to Bluemoth's opinion, which by the way is just as important as anyone else's on this forum, I did a bit of research and found an interesting interview with John Green. He did some rather extensive work in this subject matter, and has some very interesting viewpoints. He is a bit soft spoken, so you may have to turn your volume up a bit. Much of what he says really leaves me scratching my head in wonder.

I guess the World has got a bit dull and we all want the unobtainable. Yeah. A Fazakerly L1A1 body. THAT's unobtainable. Actually, nobody believed they existed until one turned up. This all reminds me of when I was in Sumatra in the bush chatting with Orang Pendek when we saw a big guy.

I remember when crop circles turned up in and around where I live. Aliens were sending us messages. At the time I thought this was a bit weird why leave messages in Corn why not pay someone a visit and give him a note. Or why not flash by so someone could get a really good photo of their spaceship and why they were at it, give us a wave. The farmers started charging the hippies and space freaks to go and have a gander at those arty crop circles. Well they were onto a good thing, because it turned out they made them in the first place.
So the Indians called the hairy guy Sasquatch, well seems a bit odd that they could not catch em. I though a native American could just about track any living thing, they were renown for it, they could track a mouse with sneakers on. Why they could not track a giant Ape is beyond me and as there are expert trackers including native Americans today why cant they.

Just wanted to say I have found about 35 + folks or groups have YouTube videos of their searches for Bigfoot. They are all finding the same tings : foot prints, stick structures, sleeping areas, some times a hair sample and some times a hand print. One person even has a Bigfoot family living on his property ( he says it looked at him by the bushes one early evening when it was still light anuff to see ). Folks just out for a day in the country or hikers have found foot prints or even got video tape footage or a few photos of one. Almost every one of the 50 states has a Bigfoot research organization. Native Americans know about Bigfoots and believe they are real. They are out there and one day the government will have to admit it to the world. Untill that day there will be non believers and folks faking sightings. Thinkerthunker will show you how to tell if a video sighting is faked or real so check out his videos. I recently saw a video by the owner of the Bigfoot museum in Felton that there are Bigfoots living in Benlomend. How existing! I will not have to wait till I can get to the sierras to participate in Reo's project go and see now. I expect an incredible and exciting adventure ahead!

"One person even has a Bigfoot family living on his property"...okey, that is a little bit too much, soon some one will come up that the bigfoot is renting out a basement in his home.
PS I think this person had also " anuff " alcohol and weed in his system.

I haven been to three different Big Foot websites, each claims multiple sightings, lots of fuzzy out of focus photographs. One even has a pile of Sasquatch $hit. The pile looked more like I would deposit after multiple visits to Waffle House. Also states that Sasquatch $hit has a unique smell. Now picture this, someone on their hands and knees smelling a big pile of it. Personally, if it was mine, I would be proud of it.
I must confess there is some compelling evidence. But the most compelling evidence, a Big Foot alive in cage or a nice cold carcass.
Unti then, you can tell me what ever you want about Big Foot or Sasquatch. And, I will continue to poke fun at it, them, her, him or whatever it is.
By the way, who is Reo?

One argument that many bigfoot believers bring up at times is that the government and science knows they exist. I have heard this many times. Then I started wondering....why? Why would the government want to keep this a secret, or at least not acknowledge their existence, (if they exist). Then I see that both California and Washington has laws against shooting or killing a Sasquatch, punishable by imprisonment! Perhaps they are trying to keep what they know from the public because they want to be able to deforest vast areas without public outcry regarding the habitat destruction of a rare species, especially something as significant as an endangered homonid!?! Why have such stiff laws for something that doesn't exist? Doesn't this sound so typical of something the government would do? It reminds me of the silly laws they impose upon us insect collectors in certain places. They want to be able to bring in chainsaws and bulldozers, but don't you dare come here with a butterfly net!!!

Lucky for me I'm in Illinois where all of the laws make sense and I can shoot Bigfoot without going to jail

There are always those that will perpetrate a hoax and I afraid there are always gullible people who will believe them.

The Law that protects Big Foot/Sasquatch from being killed is to protect politicians.
If I was out in the Woods a gun and saw a certain political figure. I would shot it and I could claim it was a Sasquatch.
I bet you would serve more time for killing a Sasquatch than a Politician.

Whenever I see a video with an alleged bigfoot, I can't help but wonder why anyone would want to go walking around in the woods wearing an ape costume just to try and create a hoax. The consequences for doing this are either they will eventually get butt raped by the real thing if it exists, or some trigger happy guy with a 30-06 will end their charade. There is no way in hell I would go in the woods where I live wearing one of those silly outfits, especially during deer season. Which leads me to believe that these hoaxers have bigger balls than brains. Maybe we should be looking into why people feel compelled to do this kind of thing, instead of trying to find something that probably isn't out there.

Beetlehorn,
You are exactly right. Putting on a costume and going in the woods is a good way to get shot. It makes me nervous going in the woods during deer season with my legally required ammount blaze/safety orange on. A person who does such a dumb thing might as well put on a brown coat and a antler hat and go for a stroll in shotgun season.
