Last month (Feb.22) there was an ebay auction featuring the two P. zalmoxis specimens shown in the photo attachment. There was an apparent size difference in the abdomens of each specimen, and the seller provided a third photo. I could not be certain that the specimen on the right was a female and asked the seller for confirmation that this was indeed a Pair and the specimen on the right was a Female. He was unable to confirm its being a female. A winning bid of $327.00 for the two specimens ended the auction. 17 people had bid. If someone had bought 2 males for this amount, you have my condolences. If somebody won the Pair for this amount, congratulations on a ridiculously cheap winning price for a female. If anyone has any further information regarding this auction, I'd be most interested in knowing whether it was actually a female. Many thanks. Richard Herwitt California USA

I have had successful transactions with Juan Manuel and found him to be serious, honest, and very accommodating. The specimens I received were as described, carefully packaged, and arrived in good condition.

This specimen listing on an Ebay auction was written as Eurytides oberthuri ? Since the seller used a question mark after the species name in the auction, he was apparently not certain if the species identification was correct. Can anyone help to positively identify this specimen. Any help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Richard Herwitt California U.S.

I agree with Manfred--no doubt about it, it is absolutely Urania sloanus. Congratulations on a great acquisition.

I've noticed that Alain Chaminade has not updated his site in quite some time. In addition, his expansive list of lepidoptera is no longer posted on his site. Can anybody shed any light on this development? I have found Mr. Chaminade to be an excellent supplier over the many years I have dealt with him.

Why support someone's dishonest tactics in the first place? Better to deal with reliable. decent suppliers instead.

I totally agree. Don't give this repeat offender any further access to InsectNet. His fraudulent actions have no place here.

Hi John, Altho' "banned" by Clark after a vote a while ago by InsectNet members, both Augusto and Yenifer appear to be selling on the Classified ads once again? I guess redemption comes easy these days. I still say it's best to avoid them altogether. Richard California, USA

It seems to me you are now blaming the victim(s), putangitangi, which is unfortunate on your part. Were the seller honest to begin with, we would not be having this discussion at all...
