Okay, Tuesday 6 November 2018 is election day. Get out and vote.
I am a Consevative. I vote Red (Republican). I dislike Trump personally. He acts a lot like me. However, like me, he gets things done. The economy is good, he has fix most of the bad trade deals, especially NAFTA.
Then we have that nut job in North Diarrhea, I think Trump put the fear of God in him, or else he thinks Trump is a crazier than he is.
But any who, get out and vote.
And vote Republican. I want to see Pisslosee and Fineslime cry.

I like the Donald, the liberal elite crying from their ivory towers hate him, every time I see their pathetic anti Trump hand wringing, virtue signalling acceptance speeches at award ceremonies I cry with laughter that they, for once, are not getting everything their own way, they will have to put more energy into the equally pathetic #me too witch hunt to garner some much needed attention to fan their massive ego's.
Okay, as I have said numerous times, get out a vote on Tuesday 6 November 2018. I you do not likE our current POTUS, to bad, you get two more years of him.
However, if you like what our current POTUS has accomplished, get out Tuesday and vote for the Republicans.
If you dislike our current POTUS, then get out and vote for the Democraps.
Well, not all of you got out and voted. As a result we still have Trump and a Republican Senate. But now we have a Democrat have the majority in House of Representatives.
Should there be a vacancy in the Supreme Court, it will be vacant until after the 2020 election.
If Congress cannot work together, then it is time for term limits.
The Republicons and the Democraps hate each other. Maybe I should run for President. I would love to get up in front of a joint session of Congress and break wind. A nasty juicy wet one at best with lot's of NARF. Then you can say the our government stinks, and then some.
Then you can say the our government stinks, and then some.
Most governments stink. Same with religions and cultural movements. The people are OK, it's the leaders that are corrupted. The old saying "walk a mile in my shoes..." speaks wonders. I have very close friends who are Muslim, and friends who are Mexican, and friends who own dozens of machine guns. When you meet the persons face-to-face and spend time with them, outside the media hype and government-driven angst, most people are wonderful.
The people I find to be less than wonderful are bureaucrats, lawyers and politicians of any breed. They lie, they steal, they cheat. They manipulate the system beyond its original intent to suit their own agenda. It's all about them. It's all about power and greed.
Rowan County, Kentucky had a had a county clerk, an elected office, who refused to issue marriage licenses tp gays based on her religious beliefs. She was arrested and jailed. The out cry from the publics in support of the clerk went nation wide. She won re-election by a landside, 20 to 1 the following year. This year 2018, she lost to a Democrat. After winning the election, he announced that was Gay. He is currently in hiding. Them Red Necks in eastern Kentucky are a rough bunch.
The next several days are going to be interesting.
It has been 60 years since I studied Civics in High School. You are correct, however, for some reason, possibly age, I thought it took both houses of Congress to approve a Supreme Court Justice.
What I want to know is where do both the Republicans and Democrats find all these morons. There are a couple of true "rectal orfices" that just got elected. And in a couple of cases, re-elected.
I need a nap!

What I want to know is where do both the Republicans and Democrats find all these morons.
They are all part of the same group, the same system. Everything else is a big smoke screen to distract.
None of them truly wants to solve any problems, like urban poverty or school shootings. Any change in the status quo upsets the balance of accumulated interests and personal wealth. Voters are given effectively two choices for a seat, neither of which are any good. Politicians who go into the job actually wanting to make a difference are quickly "fixed" by their powerful colleagues.
Voters, by and large, don't think things through. If I get X, what will happen in 10 years? They don't think about consequences, they think about immediate gain.
So we get, in almost every nation, a bifurcated slow ride to anarchy. Along the way, and in the end, it's the politicians who profit.

Barry Goldwater was a presidential candidate in 1964. He spoke open and boldly about the political morass in the United States and set the conservative movement in place. The Democrats at the time created a image of him that scared most middle class citizens. Instead we got four more years of Lyndon Johnson and the Vietnam war. Do not blame Tricky Dick for Vietnam, Nixon just just made it worse. The first time I voted for Alfred E. Neuman was in 1970.
I always liked Barry Goldwater. He was a big fan of Mad Magazine and Alfred E. Neumann. My kind of guy!!!

The big problem is that humans accept, sometimes quickly, sometimes gradually, "The New Norm". It becomes the benchmark. Few suggest- much less push- that laws be rolled back. And, sadly, many point out areas that pass crazy laws and have corrupt politicians without realizing that it's coming their way.
Nobody has done anything about overhauling (or eliminating) CITES or Lacy. Enforcers accept it as law, and see it as their job to enforce, without pause to think.
Like it or not, the Constitution of the US says one should be able to walk into Walmart and buy a machine gun. That right (like it or not) has been slowly destroyed, with the populace and Law Enforcement often first screaming about it, then refusing to support it, yet over time it has become acceptable, even embraced, as "The New Norm." Even the NRA has supported some laws that violate 2A of the Constitution, be it for political reasons or "The New Norm"
It's all headed toward Logan's Run, 1984, etc. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see what's happening. But most people are secure in the moment, happy in their Norm. The only difference voting makes is timing.
Until recently, Thailand had a pretty good model, in which the King could step in and stop stupidity. That doesn't happen anymore.
I thank you for the thought. However, that is one job I would love to have, but I know better.
First executive order out of the gate. Remove from office via whatever means necessary within the Law, every member of congress, both houses, who refuses to negotiate should be taken out and publicly flogged.
The nation voted on Tuesday, 6 November 2018. It took a week to count all the ballots in Florida.
What in the world is so hard about counting ballots.
I understand that they were only allowed to vote if they could count to 50. I guess 50 was too difficult and it was reduced to 10 and then 4 out of 10 could not get past 5.
