I mailed away, at MY OWN EXPENSE ($105.63 CAD = $77.45 USD), your return package, with the 2 defective collecting light units,this morning 29th June 2020 at 9:34:20 AM. The package was shipped expedited Xpresspost-USA,4 business days Guaranteed Service, with full insurance coverage, TRACKING NUMBER: EM045675745CA, signature required, with expected delivery date 07 July 2020.
Again to be absolutely clear I DO NOT WANT ANOTHER COLLECTING LIGHT UNIT (if it takes 3 times to get it right....NO WAY!). I WANT A FULL REFUND OF MY MONEY sent to my Paypal account ASAP. PAYPAL IS THE ONLY METHOD I WILL ACCEPT FOR REPAYMENT....No SNAIL MAIL CHEQUES, MONEY ORDERS, BANK DRAFTS ETC.. The total amount you owe me is as follows: 06 March 2020 original Paypal payment made to you of $237.50 USD ($159.00 for one 120v, 40W, 24" Quantum collecting light unit + $36.00 USD for one spare tube to fit said light + $42.50 USD Express shipping = $237.50 USD). I had shortly after placing this order contacted you again to throw in another extra spare tube which I said I would again pay for with Paypal when I received the entire order; Therefore the total now left owing to you currently would have been $36.00 USD. However, I was also, just recently charged an additional extra expense by Customs of $33.13 USD = $45.29 CAD to open & inspect the 2nd shipment I received on 23 June 2020... this charge was totally unnecessary (your fault as package was undamaged, not opened by Customs & unit didn't work right out of the box; the 2nd shipment was opened by Customs so they may have caused some damage to the rattling ballast)... if you would have sent me a working unit in your 1st shipment which I received 06 June, 2020 there would have been no need to make a 2nd shipment. The cost of the 2nd extra tube which I had not yet paid for mentioned above was $36.00 USD; My extra unnecessary Customs charge was $33.13 USD. These 2 figures come pretty close to cancelling each other out so am leaving them out of the calculations. The only thing I have now in my possession on this day of 29 June 2020 are the 2 spare tubes which I still want as I have an older identical model collecting light purchased from you 4 years ago which uses the same tubes. My other additional expense is, of course, the $77.45 USD = $105.63 CAD paid today at my P.O. to send back the 2 defective collecting units.
Finally, you owe me the same original amount I paid to you WAY BACK 4 MONTHS AGO: $237.50 USD + the $77.45 USD to resend the 2 faulty units back to you today. GRAND TOTAL YOU OWE ME IS: $237.50 USD + $77.45 USD = $314.95 USD (or $430.81 CAD according to xe.com right now). Please Leroy pay me the $314.95 USD ASAP or, at the latest, by the expected delivery date of your 2 defective units - 07 July 2020. The sooner you pay me the sooner this whole disgusting mess can be deleted & we may both still be able to walk away from this giant misunderstanding with a little dignity.

I will repeat this one more time. Mr. Kozial border a Collecting Light Unit: 40 Watt 24" 368 QBL. Plus an additional Bulb: 40Watt 24" 368 QBL. Order shipped in early June. A week later I receive an email that the replacement does not light. It flickers and goes out. I have several in stock I send him another Collecting Light Unit.
A short period of time passes And I request the return of the defective ' Collecting Light Units. And with that the being of he wantsbmoney up front, and clearly states how much money I owe him.
All I have ask is the return of the deffective Collecting Light Units. I will pay the return shipment.
As I said previously. I no longer believe Mr. Kozial. He has written several exposes about me and how I have lied and I owe over $400.00+
Mr. Kozial, keep it all.
I have better things to do with my time.
Again Mr. Kozial, keep it all.
I have always a trusting soul.
One last comment, "What Goes Around Comes Around".,

What is going on with you Leroy? This is completely bizarre! Read my last posting! AT MY OWN EXPENSE, both of your defective collecting light units have just been mailed away this very morning 29 June 2020 & should arrive around the 7th of July . I laid out everything in a clear transparent manner. I honestly don't know how to make the facts any more clearer or more understandable to you! Oh Lord... please is there anybody out there that can talk some sense into this man? His son, his friends, who ever.... I am appealing to anyone who is close & can get Leroy to understand? His last posting here makes ZERO sense. This last posting is a prime example of the run around I have been getting for the last 4 months. As I mentioned before, without visuals, it's not easy to see the issues with the item(s), that set aside- the way this seems to be ending reminds me, unfortunately of an experience I had with a trader in Italy, he would take preorders and then apparently use that money to pay for the livestock, well, the correct stock didn't always materialize from his suppliers. After a particularly bad set of decisions, his solution was to stop trading, at least in the typically used platforms, Actias and Insectnet. Giving up seems not quite right and an ignominous end, although I work in the public sector, and some situations are unfixable, and there have been times I've had to either block a phone number, or send someone a copy of their contract. One thing I did notice at the start of this post, was that while it would have been obvious to the person concerned, no names were mentioned, what I did find bothersome was an immediate request for identity of the as yet unnamed individual.Without knowing it, that person may have changed the course of this thread.

I recommend no more posting unless new data presents itself. Repeating will not help. The units will arrive or won't. A refund amount either satisfactory or not will arrive or won't. Other further action will be taken or not. Everyone- Let us know, calmly if possible, the data as it presents itself. Mods - perhaps delete future posts (with a message sent to the poster to rewrite) unless they contain information to benefit our little community? I don't envision anything else working but I don't claim to envision much.....

You guys are certainly not on the same page. It's almost like a sound delay, but in print. That's my take on it. Square pegs don't fit in round holes. That probably doesn't help. Having a dispute with someone you know isn't something you expect or plan for. I'm sure all readers would wish the situation would have been worked out between yourselves and solved to satisfaction. I can't speculate if that would have even been possible when the first post was made.

Go ahead Leroy...you started this personal attack on me...your defective collecting units are on their way back to you as we speak. So simple.. refund all my money as fully documented here online. It is your responsibility to pay for return shipping of defective items & either replace the items or refund my money. I want my money back as explained... so simple. I have contacted wollastoni for advice as what to do with you. To see you removed permanently from this forum is what I now want as well... You have over $300.00 USD of my money & I have nothing... you are the same thing you called me... a common thief. All along I still don't know... what exactly did I steal?? You will soon have your defective units back & I will have nothing...who is the real thief??

Gentlemen, gentlemen, how about we both take a deep breath and say nothing more at this point until the lights arrive at their destination. Upon their arrival July 7th the seller will inspect them and render a decision regarding monetary refund(s). Hopefully, a reasonable and "mutually" agreeable finish to this matter will be found.
The seller has said he will pay for the return shipping costs. The buyer in good faith has shelled out $77 bucks to see that they arrive in a timely manner. I don't see any problem with this part of the deal. So, the only real question here involves the net worth of the returned lights. Will a full refund be given or (for some reason) only a partial ? That is the sellers prerogative...
Once that decision is made --- well, money is money. In what way, shape, or form it arrives does not matter. As long as it is (legal) or (canadian) tender which can be readily made available; its all good...
I take no sides in this matter ! Both parties have shown some measure of compromise despite the anger and saber rattling. In a few short days we will all know something. Give peace a chance (for the moment)! Further berating each other until the lights arrive does absolutely no one any good.
I do feel that it would be a loss indeed to see either of you fella's leave the forum in anger. I for one have gleamed some knowledge from both of you through your various insect related posts. You are both here for the passion of the science, the exchange of ideas, and the dissemination of the knowledge which both of you have acquired through the years...
I hope my thoughts here hold some meaning and are in some measure helpful in this very "prickly" affair.

Leroy, if you do receive the return of the damaged item, please send a refund to John. For expensive items above $100, it is sometimes useful to pay an insurance in case the postal services damage it.

take a deep breath ! Areally good idea. In the time, you write and write again, you could have earned more money by selling ice cream or pizza from your kitchen window. I had an an internet shop for 12 years and if I had sent broken items or wrong items, I told the customer to keep it and I sent new ones or sent mony by paypal or ( here in Germany ) rather quick by bank transfer. Satisfied customer, always buying again. This thread was really terrible. Leroy: to call somebody a thief is a really hard announcement. But, if you are almost 80, "forget it"

I did speak with my attorney today. We had lunch. He looked over the post and said; Leroy, just let it go. You are better man than that.
He did have a few descriptive words about the matter and then added, more than likely his is just jealous of your success.

We had a 12 minute phone call on 8 June 2020, Mr. Kozial order a single Collecting Light Unit: 12DC 40Watt 24" QBL. Paid with Credit Card.
Several days later 11 June 2020 he call and said the the Collecting Unit light will work. On the 18 June he calls and said it did not work either. I sent him a third Collecting Light Unit. He refuses to return the defective units.
And Mr. Kozial gets on Insectnet and writes over 23 pages of how he wants to return and I must pay up front. And then he, criticises/accuses me of refusing to return the Collecting Light Units.
I will send Chuck (exocticimmports) $200.00 via PayPal. Mr. Kozial is to send all three of the defective units to Chuck. Chuck will send Mr. Kozial the money due him.
Chuck will return the units to me. I will provide the necessary funds for Chuck to complete this transaction.
Should both Mr. Kozial and Mr. Chuck are in agreement. I will act immediatly.
